Rolex Story: 7 Continents, 1 Year in Antarctica, 5 Years in Africa

When Crown & Caliber authenticates a customer’s timepiece, we use the best watchmakers around. We realize sending in a watch takes a great deal of trust and faith, so we take a white glove approach to handling each customer’s watch.

One of our watchmakers’ passion for mechanical watches is unbridled. His passion spills over into his evenings, where he crafts watches in his attic. Recently, he inherited a watch from his father with an extraordinary past and shared it with us.

The watch was has seen the world. It has spent a year in Antarctica and five years in Africa. It’s a Rolex ref. 6426. Here are some photos we snapped of it. What’s your watch’s story?
