OMEGA has hit another long drive down the middle with the release of its Limited Edition Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ryder Cup” watches in celebration of this year’s Ryder Cup. The gorgeously crafted timepieces truly embody one of professional golf’s most famous events.
The silvery dial of the men’s model features a unique, golf ball-dimpled pattern. The 41.5 mm case can be worn on either a stainless steel bracelet or blue-coated nylon fabric strap (both included in the presentation box). In line with the Ryder Cup logo and colors, the faceted hour and minute hands and indexes are blue, complemented by an 18k yellow gold second hand.
For the women’s model, a white mother-of-pearl dial features a subtle, laser-engraved Ryder Cup logo and is adorned with 12 diamond indexes in blue holders. Its blue hour and minute hands and 18k gold seconds hand also take color cues from the Ryder Cup logo. The 34 mm case is presented on a stainless steel band, but can also be worn with the blue-coated, nylon fabric strap with white stitching.
Adding to the exclusivity, both casebacks are engraved with the words “Ryder Cup” and “Limited Edition.” It’s rumored there are fewer than 1000 pieces being produced. The OMEGA Master Co-Axial caliber 8520 powers these classic timepieces.
OMEGA crashed the Ryder Cup party in 2012 when it partnered with the PGA of America and replaced Rolex as the Official Timekeeper of the event. With watches like these, they won’t be asked to leave anytime soon.
