Spotlight: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Watch

Martin Luther King Jr.’s time on earth was unwelcomely cut short at the age of 39, but his hard work, legacy, and message continues to resound with us today. He was an extraordinary man honored with a Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1977), the Congressional Gold Medal (2004), and, of course, a holiday in his name.

A great man deserved a great watch. Fortunately, a fine watch was one of the luxuries MLK was able to enjoy. The man behind the “I Have a Dream” speech wore a Rolex DayDate. Below are some pictures of MLK and his Rolex:
