Five Limited Edition Watches for Any Guy

Limited Edition Timepieces that will Peak Your Interest

We don’t discriminate when it comes to watches. From the most complicated, high-end model to an entry level, time-only piece, we love them all. However, exclusivity is a major selling point in the industry. Limited edition models are part of almost every watchmaker’s history. Whether they’re commemorating a milestone or a partnership, some models just don’t lend themselves to production on a mass scale. With lower quantities comes higher demand. Limited edition watches are among some of the most highly sought after in both the new and pre-owned market. Every so often, we’re lucky enough to procure some of these coveted timepieces. Here, we’re highlighting five of the limited edition models in our inventory.

TAG Heuer Carrera Monaco Grand Prix

TAG Heuer has made a few limited edition Carrera timepieces celebrating the historic Monaco Grand Prix. This particular variation launched in 2014 in a run of just 2500 pieces. What makes it unique is its sandblasted pure titanium case construction treated with black titanium carbide coating. TAG Heuer compliments the look with a black ceramic bezel and contrasting white tachymeter scale. In addition, the model showcases a sporty dial design featuring two, tonal racing stripes and red accents. Two chronograph registers with a circular guilloche finish align on the vertical axis while the third sits opposite the date window. Each detail works harmoniously together to create the look and feel of a dashboard. Last but not least, the model is powered by the caliber 1887 self-winding mechanical movement. You can see it in all its glory through the sapphire caseback.

Breitling Bentley B06 Midnight Carbon

Breitling’s work with the famed luxury car manufacturer Bentley has resulted in some of the brand’s most coveted models. The limited edition B06 Midnight Carbon, produced in only 500 pieces, showcases several special features both inside and out. First, there’s the technical prowess of the brand’s Caliber 06 self-winding mechanical movement. It boasts COSC certification as well as an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The bold 49mm matte black steel case with blue mother-of-pearl dial also features a unique design and configuration. The distinctive 30-second chronograph with central chrono hand provides accuracy to 1/8th second. In addition, the duo has created an exclusive variable tachymeter system based on a circular slide rule.

Hublot Ferrari Unico

Like Breitling and Bentley, Hublot and Ferrari are another dynamic duo in the way of watch collaborations. Since 2011, the pair has produced some of the most daring sport watches that perfectly match the boldness of the brands. This particular limited edition model, produced in only 1,000 pieces, is one example. The Hublot Ferrari Unico features a lightweight, 45mm ceramic case construction showcasing a skeleton dial. The complementary ceramic bezel is fastened with six screws, giving it an ultra-sporty and utilitarian look. Likewise, additional screw accents flank the quick release buttons at the six and twelve-o’clock positions. These allow you to easily change the strap. Inside, you’ll find the brand’s Calibre HUB1241 self-winding mechanical movement with a whopping 72-hour power reserve.

Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo XI “Panda Dial” 35th Anniversary

Omega created the Speedmaster Panda in 2004 in honor of the 35th anniversary of the first lunar landing. What sets it apart from other commemorative models is the distinctive panda dial with black registers and contrasting white backdrop. Another notable feature is on the reverse. The caseback showcases one of the iconic Apollo 11 mission patches. It features an image of an eagle landing on the surface of the moon with Earth in the distance. Inside the Speedmaster Panda houses the brand’s infamous hand-wound caliber 1861 movement. This model is one of the most sought-after Apollo XI limited editions, produced in just 3500 pieces.

Audemars Piguet Offshore Jay-Z 10th Anniversary

The final limited edition model we’ll be highlighting is the AP Offshore Jay-Z 10th Anniversary. As the name suggests, the model commemorates the award-winning musician’s 10th year in the industry. AP originally released the model in two variations, one in stainless steel (50 pieces) and one in rose gold (30 pieces). Here, we see the highly exclusive rose gold iteration featuring a striking black dial. At the ten-o’clock position, you’ll see the hour marker set in diamonds as a nod to the 10th anniversary. On the reverse, the model is complete with Jay-Z’s signature engraved on the caseback. Lastly, the model comes equipped with the brand’s Caliber AP2326/2840 self-winding mechanical movement.
