Recently, members of our Crown & Caliber team had the incredible opportunity to view the SIHH collection from Hublot at its boutique in Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, GA. Walking up to the front of the boutique, the eye is immediately drawn to the watches displayed in the front window. Upon entrance into the boutique, it is evident that the Hublot boutique holds some beautiful and innovative watches. From the Hublot King Power Usain Bolt to the Hublot King Power Red Devil Manchester United, each Hublot watch is unique and breathtaking.
Jim Koonts, the Hublot boutique director, took the time to show us in detial the Hublot SIHH Collection. Jim showed off the details of each watch and explained what Hublot was trying to accomplish with each individual watch. This collection is very different from many of the Hublot watches as it strives for a more traditional look than that of a typical Hublot watch. Each model is a limited edition and only has 99 pieces in its collection. Not only are these Hublot watches unique, but they are also quite rare.
We begin by taking a look at the Hublot Skeleton Tourbillon. As Jim describes, it is 45mm in diameter and has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It also has a black ceramic caseback, bezel, and crown.
Next, Jim shows us the Hublot Tourbillon King Gold Opalin. Like all of the other pieces in the SIHH Collection, it is one of only 99 pieces. Similar to the Skeleton Tourbillon, this watch has a power reserve of 120 hours and is 45mm in diameter. It has an Opalin color dial and 18kt red gold case.
Jim also describes the 42mm manual wind skeleton with a 90-hour power reserve and a 42mm chronograph.
To hear all of the specific details about each of these watches, take a look at this interview with Jim Koonts, the Hublot Boutique Director.
