Rolex Explorer II
Debuting in 1971, The Rolex Explorer II was created for adventure. Its equipped with an independent 12-hour hand giving the wearer a second time-zone function. This is in conjunction with 24-hour display. It also has a Cyclops lens that magnifies the date display. This reference 16570 has a black dial, with white markers and stainless-steel bracelet. The Explorer’s design alludes to expeditions and it transitions easily from snow-covered mountains to high profile business meetings.
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean
The Seamaster is most recognizable as the “James Bond watch,” but it’s history goes all the way back to 1948. It introduction celebrated OMEGA’s 100th anniversary. The Planet Ocean variation has a thicker case and a more defined bezel than the original. This reference 2909.50.38 features a navy dial and orange bezel. It also comes on an orange leather strap, and has a helium release valve. Though you may not be James Bond, you certainly will feel like him when sporting this watch.
TAG Carrera
The Carrera debuted in 1963 as one of Heuer’s most famous models. It was re-introduced in 1996 under the Tag Heuer brand. This chronograph was originally a celebration of the “Carrera Panamerica Rally” from the 1950’s. It’s update from TAG keeps the nostalgic heritage of the Heuer version, but gives it a modern update. This reference 2114.FC6292 features a white dial with striking blue hands and markers. It comes on a leather strap, and has an exhibition case back. It’s a great addition to any watch collection.
IWC Portuguese
Arguably IWC’s most famous wristwatch, the Portuguese debuted in the late 1930’s. At the time is was a humongous watch, but that wasn’t its most notable feature. This timepiece housed a pocket watch movement. The Portuguese was facing extinction in the 1970’s. However, it is now offered in many variations after it 1993 re-release. It also now contains modern movements. This reference IW3714-47 features a chronograph and stainless-steel case. It has a black dial and black leather strap. This watch looks sharp and is perfect for the office or a special night out.
Panerai Luminor
Military secrecy veiled Panerai’s early years. They didn’t begin offering their models to the public until 1993. Luminors were then designed to meet the specific needs of sea depth and visibility for the Italian Navy. This reference PAM 282 has a unique navy dial and the standard stainless-steel case. It comes on a black leather bracelet and has luminous hands and markers. The history of Panerai and its retro feel make this watch effortlessly cool and has given it a cult following.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is not only Audemars most popular model, but one of the most famous luxury watches in the market. Introduced in the early 1970’s, the Royal Oak essentially saved the Audemars brand and was their first steel watch. This reference 25860ST.00.111OST.04 has the iconic octagonal bezel and is a chronograph. It also has a blue dial and white hands. Unlike some of their other models, this watch exudes toughness.
JLC Reserve De Marche
Sometimes you just need a watch for a special occasion. Enter the Jaeger-Lecoultre Reserve de Marche. This watch, in their Master Collection, debuted approximately 25 years ago, and is a modern take on the classics. This reference 140.8.93 has a silver dial, stainless-steel case, and is on a black leather strap. It’s sleek and stylish, and is sure to elevate any look.
