Audemars Piguet ambassador Rory McIlroy showed the spectators at the Ryder Cup that good things come to those that wait. After mixing up his time zones, McIlroy nearly missed his tee time. He received a police escort and literally ran from the car to the green.
Perhaps McIlroy should wear his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore outside of his ceremonies – Richard Mille’s Bubba Watsonwas punctual and warming up on the green when McIlroy arrived, sporting his timepiece as usual.
Fortunately for the European team, McIlroy’s late arrival and lack of warm-up time had no effect on his golf game as he was able to win his match and help lead the Europeans to an improbable victory.
