Both the Rolex Explorer and Rolex Submarine are rugged and durable watches. Every Rolex watch is precise and accurate, so you cannot go wrong with either watch. It just comes down to function. 	Rolex Submariner
Case:	The Oyster caseback on the Rolex Submariner (and Explorer) is hermetically sealed to the case, preventing the movement from suffering damage from shocks, pressure, water, dust, etc.
Features:	Because the Rolex Submariner is a constant companion of many divers, the Submariner Date model features a Rolex Glidelock clasp. This clasp allows divers to adjust the bracelet to fit over a thick diving suit, no tools necessary.
	It is water-resistant up to 1,000 feet because of its patented triple-seal Triplock winding crown, which was introduced in 1970. This crown assures water-resistance.
Bezel:	One of the key functions of the Rolex Submariner is the unidirectional rotating bezel. The graduations on the bezel allow the diver to accurately time any dive. The ceramic bezel is extremely hard and durable and will not change colors as a result of UV rays. For safety reason, the bezel only rotation counterclockwise to prevent from overestimating elapsed time.

Case:	The case of a Rolex Explorer is constructed from 904L steel. This super alloy is resistant to corrosion and is highly polishable.
Features:	The dial on the Rolex Explorer features an orange 24-hour hand that can be set independently of the second time zone.
