After 22 years of hosting NBC’s “Tonight Show”, Jay Leno will be retiring in the spring of 2014. Jimmy Fallon, currently the host of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” will be replacing Leno as the host of the “Tonight Show.” Another change that will be occurring is the location of the show. Now filmed in Los Angeles, the “Tonight Show” will move back to its original location, 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Not only do we praise Leno for his dry humor and sarcasm, but also, we all appreciate his taste in watches. As a lover of mechanical pieces, Leno also owns several expensive luxury watches. One watch that Leno often wears on his show is a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grand Réveil. This watch combines a perpetual calendar and a mechanical alarm. The wearer has the choice between a ring and vibrate mode for the alarm. The dial displays the moon phases in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The Master Grand Reveil is the perfect combination of functionality, elegance, innovation, and artistry. It is a unique watch as it combines a chronograph function with a mechanical self-winding movement.

Leno’s Jaeger LeCoultre gets an up-close shot as he cooks on his show.

This Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grand Reveil looks very similar to Leno’s, except for Leno’s appears to be rose gold.

Although Leno’s timepiece is not included in the Tonight Show deal, we hope that Leno’s horological style will transfer to Fallon as he steps into this esteemed role. To our knowledge, Fallon is yet to own a luxury timepiece. Perhaps the prestige of his new position will inspire him to take the leap into making his first purchase. For a position with such clout and longevity, we think it’s essential to have a signature timepiece that is equally impressive and timeless. Since Jaeger LeCoultre is Leno’s signature brand, what label would you like to see Fallon claim as his trademark?
