If you’ve been watching the Golf Channel lately, have you seen Crown & Caliber?
We debuted our first television commercial this week during the Golf Channel’s 2016 Ryder Cup coverage, and not going to lie—we’re pretty proud of it. To think that four years ago we had just barely launched our first website…man, it’s just crazy to see how far we’ve come.
The ad is a 30-second spot on the advantages of buying a pre-owned watch—something that Crown & Caliber customers know all too well: the inspection process, the value, the convenience, and the selection. We just decided to take a page out of the auto dealer handbook and take our message to the “big” screen (because who doesn’t like that whole pre-owned watch/car metaphor, right?).
So what do the Golf Channel and pre-owned watches have in common? Well, we like to hit the links every now and then, but also, we know that a lot of golfers tend to like their fine timepieces (can we blame them?). And the Ryder Cup is a big deal in the golf world, Team USA versus Team Europe, home country pride and all that. So why not go all-in?
We don’t like to brag often, but the kudos to everyone who made this happen is well-deserved. That includes our customers and all the watch nerds out there that have supported us since we started this whole business four years ago. Without you (yes you), we wouldn’t have been able to grow as we have.
So consider this a “thank you” from all of us at Crown & Caliber for helping us to get to this point and for sharing in our excitement about our first national ad campaign. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out!
