One of the craziest times of year is finally approaching, NCAA March Madness. This time of year brings together the 64 best college basketball teams in the country, pitting them against each other until only the best team is left and named the College Basketball National Champion. Yesterday was Selection Sunday, where all 64 teams and game schedules are announced.
For many of us, there will be more to watch for than just great basketball. In between watching jump shots, free throws, and three point shots, some of us will be sneaking glances to the team’s benches, specifically at the wrist of the head coaches. Many of the head coaches have great taste when it comes to luxury watches.
We did some research and found that several of the coaches of tournament bound teams wear luxury wrist watches. Below are our findings.
No. 5 seed in the East, Louisville, is coached by the fiery Rick Pitino, who keeps his wrist game simple and classic with this stainless steel watch. From what we can tell, it looks like this watch is a Rolex Datejust watch. Do you agree?
San Diego St. is the no. 8 seed in the South bracket. The Aztecs are coached by Steve Fisher, who has been spotted wearing an 18kt yellow gold luxury watch. It appears that he is wearing a Rolex Day-Date watch. Let us know if you have any other better guesses.
No. 1 seed just one year ago, the Wichita State Shockers are no. 7 seed in the Midwest region of the bracket. Many expect Wichita State to be responsible for several upsets in this year’s tournament. When not focusing on the Shocker’s talented backcourt, try taking a look at head coach Gregg Marshall and his wrist watch. It appears that Coach Marshall tends to wear a TAG Heuer Link watch. Do you agree?

No. 1 team in the South region, the Duke Blue Devils are set to make a strong run in the tournament. Coached by one of the most decorated and successful coaches in NCAA history, Coach Mike Krzyzewsi has also lead the US Men’s National team to be the best in the world. Not only is Coack K an accomplished basketball coach, but he also succeeds in the wrist watch department, often wearing a Rolex Submariner with a two-tone bracelet and a blue dial and bezel.

The North Carolina Tar Heels lost to Notre Dame in the finals of the ACC Championship. Coached by the legendary Roy Williams, the Tar Heels are a no. 4 seed in the West, starting off the tournament playing Harvard. Coach Williams has been spotted wearing a couple of different watches, including what appears to be a TAG Heuer link watch.
There are several other head basketball coaches that wear luxury watches, but some of them were difficult to identify. If you know of any coaches that wear great watches, let us know and we can add them to our list!
